Institute for Nuclear Problems

Date of foundation: 1 September 1986. - by the order №556 of Ministry of higher and special secondary education of BSSR of 3 November 1986 based on the Resolution of Council of Ministers of BSSR №148-8 of 21 May 1986.

In 2021 г. a certificate of accreditation of INP BSU as a scientific organisation was renewed.

Main scientific fields: We solve complicated scientific and science-technological problems in the field of nuclear optics, nuclear physics, physics of fundamental interactions, matter structure, cosmomicrophysics, theoretical physics, radiation technologies taking into account the profile of teaching of physics to students in Belarusian State University.

INP BSU Mission: Obtaining, dissemination and application of knowledge in the field of nuclear physics, condensed matter physics, theoretical physics and physics of elementary particles in process of implementation of fundamental and applied scientific research and researchers training. According to the Resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus № 991 of 2 December 2016 "About providing of scientific and technical support to the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the field of ensuring nuclear and radiation safety", Institute for Nuclear Problems of Belarusian State University was included into the list of organisations, that provide scientific and technical support of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the field of ensuring nuclear and radiation safety.
